Note: There were probably four other children born to them during this time period. There are no surviving records at Assington covering these years.
Note: The Richard French who lived in Marshfield, Plymouth, Mass. died there and his estate was inventories 21 Dec. 1688. If this is the father of Samuel French born 13 July 1653, why was Samuel born in Cambridge? This Samuel is the only child of Richard and Martha listed in the Cambridge vital records, so I guess it's possible that Marhta was visiting someone. Note: Check Vital records of Plymouth county.

Author: Clarence Almon Torrey
Publication: Genealogical Publishing, Inc. Baltimore. 1985
Media: BookPage: 285
Note: I found two different last names attributed in the LDS records. BEANE of Marshfield, and DANFORTH who was born in Framingham, Suffolk, England and lived in Cambridge. Torrey just lists Martha ? and a place of Cambridge/Marshfield.

Note: Obadiah was killed by Indians 28 Sep 1691 in Dunstable, MA. (Source: Dunstable, MA: Town
History 1873, "Early Generations of the Founders of Old Dunstable: Thirty
Families" preface, page 29.)
.. on the evening of the 2d of September, 1691 , suddenly appeared and
murdered five of the inhabitants. The atrocious deed is thus recorded:--
"Anno Domini 1691 . Joseph Hassell senior, Anna Hassell, his wife, Benj.
Hassell, their son, were slain by our Indian enemies on Sept 2nd in the
evening. Mary Marks, the daughter of Peter Marks, was slain by the Indians
also on Sept. 2nd day in the evening."
On the morning of the 28th of the same month, the foe again appeared in
Dunstable, and murdered two more of the people, one of whom, Obadiah Perry,
as we have said, had been allowed to hire a house in Billerica during King
Philip's War. The brief record of the tragedy is:--
"Obadiah Perry and Christopher Temple dyed by the hand of our Indian enemies
on September, the twenty-eighth day , in the morning."
