Note: John Henry Keener and his wife Mary Jane (Mundorff) came to Illinois from
Pennsylvania in 1876. They came to join their father and mother, Maritn Keener
and Sunan Myers Keener, who had settled nar Biggsville in 1869. John and Mary
Keener were the parents of Eight Children. The first four children were born
in Pennsyvlania. The Keeners built and settled on their homestead in the
Salter's Grove neighborhood and farmed for nearly forty years.
