Grandma came from Nova Scotia and worked for Cyrus & Elizabeth (William Henry's parents) Heywood. She married William Henry a month before he enlisted in the Civil War. When he returned they lived in part of the house on Main St. Concord (known even today as the Heywood-Benjamin House). All their children were born in that house, except Fred who was born in Boston. They stayed there until William Henry, Jr. was about two, then they moved to Watertown for the rest of their lives except for a short period in Reading about 1909.
