Henry Jefts had four wives:
(1) Ann Stowers, married 13 Sept 1647
(2) Hannah Births, married 21 May 1649
(3) Mary Bird, widow of Simon Bird, married 3 Oct 1666, she died 1 Apr 1679
(4) Mary Baker, widow, married 5 May 1681
Henry was one of the Dudley farm purchasers and first settlers of Billerica, Massachusetts. His home was first near Indian Hill, north of Nutting's Pond, but after his marraige with Mrs. Bird, he lived west of Long Street near the corner.

Came to America in the "Susan and Ellen", 1635 age 26 and wife Ann age 25 and
son Thomas, eight weeks. His young widow married Rev. William Thompson. His
estate by several conveyances passed in 1707 to Rev William Brattle, being
that partly occupied now by the Brattle House.
Simon was a Selectman in 1636 and 1638.
Note: Lived in Boston in 1632; Freeman, 1636. Dismissed from the Boston church to
Braintree church with wife Alice, 5 Dec 1641. Deacon, 1642. Town clerk for
many years. Third Captain of Braintree Militia Company.
