ROGER CHANDLER
From "The Descendants of Roger Chandler of Concord, Mass., 1658, by Charles H. Chandler, 1949. p. 23.
Member of the Train Band in Cambridge in 1664.
Roger Chandler and twenty others of the Plymouth colony had a grant of 400 acres in Concord, Mass., in 1658.
Roger was employed by Dolor Davis of Barnstable to build a house for him which was on the road from the road by the Barrett place northward to Carlisle and was burned out not many years ago.
Traditions lead to the conclusion that he was one of those men invaluable to a new settlement and who had ability applicable to a wide variety of effort.
